What does it
take to be on this team?
There are no preset qualifications
or level of athleticism, a cycling enthusiast only needs the desire to participate and
be part of a team.
Steps to be part of the
GVC team:
1. Join the Greensboro Velo Club.
2008 GVC Racing members
dues are $100. per year*, which includes a club short sleeve jersey and a
pair of shorts (bib or regular.) Greensboro Velo Club application:

(*Cat 3 (road) or
Expert (mtb) or above, and who complete their first 3 events of the
season, will receive a $100.00 store credit at cycles de ORO.)
(* Cat 4 or Sport and below, and complete their first 3 events,
will receive a $50.00 Cycles de ORO store credit. )
2. Obtain a Racing
License from the USCF (road) or NORBA (mtb) Both are under
USA Cycling,
the official amateur cycle racing body.
3. Complete the Riders
agreement
Each member, upon signing
up, will receive a free "swag" assortment, including cap, socks, pocket
tool, stickers, team tee shirt, decals and additional discounts on
Specialized brand goodies.

4. Start participating!
Training rides, big club rides and compete in the races that are
organized by Greensboro Velo club. Volunteer in local events. (see
riders agreement for specifics)

In addition to the
standard GVC discount on any purchases, Specialized brand race related
cycling products are available to racing team members exclusively at
extremely low prices.
Team members will receive discounted entry into GVC events
Local business
sponsorships help fund the Greensboro Velo Club Racing Team. Sponsorship
monies are awarded at season's end, based on the number of races entered
and the completion of volunteer requirements within the club.
